We do not use analytics, ads or tracking cookies. We do not sell your data.
Who we are.
SVRN (svrn.app) is run by AVNT AB, a Swedish company (company number 559375-7056). We decide how your data is used, so under data protection law we are the "controller".
Questions about your data? Email [email protected].
The waitlist.
When you join the waitlist, we store your email address and the date you joined. We do not ask for your name.
We only add you if you tick the box to say we can email you. We use your email to tell you when SVRN opens and to send tips on living abroad.
- Legal basis: your consent (GDPR article 6(1)(a)).
- Where it is stored: Resend, the service we use to send email.
- How long we keep it: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. After you unsubscribe, we keep your address on a do-not-email list, so we never email you by mistake.
You can change your mind at any time. Every email has an unsubscribe link, or you can email us.
When you visit the site.
Our site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like every web host, Cloudflare sees basic data when you load a page: your IP address, your browser and device type, the page you asked for and the time. It uses this to deliver pages and to block attacks and bots.
- Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a safe, working website (GDPR article 6(1)(f)).
- How long it is kept: for a short time, under Cloudflare's own policy. We do not use it to work out who you are.
Fonts and flags.
Our pages use fonts from Google Fonts. Some pages, like the Schengen calculator and the working holiday visa pages, also load flag images from jsDelivr, a free file service.
When your browser loads these files, Google and jsDelivr see your IP address and browser details. We do not get any data from them.
- Legal basis: our legitimate interest in showing the site as it is meant to look (GDPR article 6(1)(f)).
Data that stays in your browser.
The Schengen calculator saves your trips in your own browser, using local storage. They are never sent to us. We cannot see them.
To delete them, press Clear all in the calculator, or clear this site's data in your browser settings.
Data sent outside your country.
Some of these services are based in the United States, so your data may be handled outside the EU or UK. When that happens, it is protected by the safeguards the law allows, such as the EU's Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Your rights.
If you are in the EU or UK, the GDPR gives you these rights. We give them to everyone, wherever you live.
- See your data. Ask for a copy of what we hold about you.
- Fix it. Ask us to correct anything that is wrong.
- Delete it. Ask us to erase your data.
- Limit it. Ask us to stop using your data while a question is sorted out.
- Object. Say no to any use based on our legitimate interests.
- Take it with you. Ask for your data in a file you can move to another service.
- Withdraw consent. Unsubscribe at any time. This does not affect anything we did before.
Email [email protected] to use any of these. We reply within one month.
You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live. In Sweden, where we are based, that is the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY). In the UK, it is the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
Children.
SVRN is not for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from them. If you think a child has joined the waitlist, email us and we will delete it.
Changes to this page.
If we change how we use your data, we will update this page and the date at the top. If a change is big, we will email the waitlist first.
