What income do I need for the Croatia digital nomad visa?
At least EUR 3,622.50 a month. This is 2.5 times the average monthly net salary paid in Croatia for the previous year. Proof is a bank statement of regular income or 6 months of payslips. Or EUR 43,470 in your bank account for a 12 month stay, or EUR 65,205 for an 18 month stay.
How long can I stay on the Croatia digital nomad visa?
Up to 18 months, and possibly less. If the stay is granted for less than 18 months, you can ask for an extension of up to 6 months. Apply at least 60 days before the stay ends.
How much does the Croatia digital nomad visa cost?
At an embassy or consulate: EUR 55.74 for the stay, plus EUR 93.00 for the long-term D visa or EUR 41.14 for the biometric card. At a police station: EUR 46.45 for the stay, EUR 9.29 admin fee and EUR 31.85 for the biometric card (EUR 59.73 for the fast route).
Who can apply for the Croatia digital nomad visa?
Open to people from outside the EU, the EEA and Switzerland. People from outside the EU, EEA and Switzerland who work through communication technology for a foreign company or their own company that is not registered in Croatia. They cannot work for Croatian employers or clients. Citizens of the EU, the EEA and Switzerland can already live in Croatia without this visa.
Can I bring my family?
Close family members can join you through the family reunification process. This includes common law partners.
Can I work for companies in Croatia?
You cannot work or provide services for employers in Croatia.
How do I apply?
Online at the Croatian police portal, or in person at a Croatian embassy or consulate. If you are already legally in Croatia and do not need a visa to enter, you can apply at a police station. If you need a visa to enter Croatia, a police station application is rejected.
