Who can apply for the Sri Lanka digital nomad visa?
Open to citizens of any other country. Foreign nationals aged 18 or over who work remotely, freelance or own a business that is not registered in Sri Lanka and serves clients outside Sri Lanka. You cannot take a job in Sri Lanka. All your income must come from foreign sources.
Can I bring my family?
Your spouse and dependants can join you. Each one pays USD 500 a year.
Can I work for companies in Sri Lanka?
You cannot take a job in Sri Lanka. All your income must come from foreign sources.
How do I apply?
Send the documents to the Department of Immigration and Emigration, Residence Visa Division, in Battaramulla. The visa is stamped in your passport.
