Open only to citizens of the 51 countries listed below. Remote workers who stay in Japan for up to six months. They work for a company outside Japan, or sell services to people outside Japan. You cannot work for a Japanese public or private employer under an employment contract. Your work must be for an employer or clients outside Japan. They are: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Brunei, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Croatia, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, Serbia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States and Uruguay.
