Countries

Every digital nomad country.

41 countries run digital nomad visas in our list. Each page shows the income you need, how long you can stay, the cost and the official link. Or compare them all in one table.

The basics

How a digital nomad visa works.

A digital nomad visa lets you live in a country while you keep working online for an employer or clients somewhere else. The country gets your spending. You get time to live there.

  • Most ask you to prove a monthly income, often with 3 to 6 months of bank statements or a work contract.
  • Your work must come from outside the country. Most do not let you work for local companies.
  • Most also ask for health insurance and a criminal record check from your home country.
  • Stays run from a few months to a few years. Some can be renewed.
  • Each country has its own tax rules for people on these visas. Check them before you go.

What is a digital nomad visa?

A visa or permit that lets you live in a country while you work online for an employer or clients somewhere else. Most ask for a set monthly income, health insurance and a clean criminal record.

How much income do I need?

It depends on the country. In our list, set amounts run from about USD 1,500 a month in Brazil to about USD 6,510 a month in South Korea, at European Central Bank rates on 9 Oct 2026. Enter your income above to check each one.

Can every passport apply?

Most of these visas are open to any passport. A few only take listed countries: Czechia, Japan, Taiwan and Turkey. Argentina and Colombia only take passports that can visit without a visa. In the EU, citizens of the EU, the EEA and Switzerland do not need one, as they can already live there.
