What do I need for the Cyprus student visa?
The official page asks for: acceptance letter from a higher education institution, clean criminal record certificate, medical tests for hepatitis B and C, HIV, syphilis, TB, health insurance (Plan A), bank guarantee for repatriation costs and title deed or rental agreement, as well as the money to live on.
How much money do I need for the Cyprus student visa?
No figure is set. A bank in your home country must certify you can pay for living, study and the trip home. After arrival you move enough money into a Cyprus bank account in your name.
Can I work while I study in Cyprus?
Up to 20 hours a week during classes and up to 38 hours a week in breaks, only in sectors set by the Labour Minister. A District Labour Office must approve the contract first.
Can I stay in Cyprus after I graduate?
Graduates with a master's degree or higher can stay up to 12 months to look for work or set up a business at the level of their studies.
How long can I stay on the Cyprus student visa?
Up to one year at a time. Yes, every year until the programme ends, if the student is making enough progress.
How much does the Cyprus student visa cost?
EUR 70 for the entry and residence permit application (EUR 140 with the ARC card), EUR 70 for first registration in the Aliens Register, and EUR 55 to renew.
Who can apply for the Cyprus student visa?
Open to people from outside the EU, the EEA and Switzerland. People from outside the EU accepted for a full-time course leading to a recognised higher education qualification at a registered institution in Cyprus.
How do I apply?
The higher education institution applies to the Migration Department for your entry permit before you travel. Within 7 days of arrival you register and apply for the residence permit in Cyprus. Entry permits are examined within one month and residence permits within 3 months, if the file is complete.
