What do I need for the Finland student visa?
The official page asks for: admission to a Finnish degree programme, proof that university fees are paid, insurance that covers medical costs and identity check at a Finnish embassy or consulate, as well as the money to live on.
How much money do I need for the Finland student visa?
Migri's minimum is EUR 800 a month (EUR 9,600 a year). You show money for the first year, or for the whole permit if it is shorter than a year.
Do I need to pay tuition before I apply?
You must have paid the fees the university asks for before the permit is granted.
Can I work while I study in Finland?
You may work up to 30 hours a week on average during the academic year and full time in the holidays.
Can I stay in Finland after I graduate?
After you graduate you can get a permit for up to two years to look for work or start a business. You must apply within five years of your study permit ending.
How long can I stay on the Finland student visa?
The permit can be granted for the whole length of your studies. An extended permit is granted for the time left on your right to study.
How much does the Finland student visa cost?

Who can apply for the Finland student visa?
Open to people from outside the EU, the EEA and Switzerland. Students from outside the EU and EEA who are admitted to a degree programme in Finland and plan to stay more than 90 days.
Can I bring my family?
Family members can get a permit based on family ties, but their living costs must also be covered.
How do I apply?
Apply online in the Enter Finland portal, then visit a Finnish embassy or consulate to prove your identity.
