Investment in a Brazilian company: BRL 500,000. Money from abroad into a new or existing company, with an investment or business plan that runs for 3 years and creates jobs or income.

Urban property in the North or Northeast: BRL 700,000. The BRL 1 million minimum can be up to 30% lower for property in the North and Northeast regions.

Urban property: BRL 1,000,000. Built or off-plan property in an urban area. You can add up more than one property, and only the part above BRL 1 million can be financed.

Online to the Ministry of Justice and Public Security through the MigranteWeb system. From abroad you get prior approval and then a visa at a Brazilian consulate; in Brazil you then register with the Federal Police. Up to 30 days for a complete file, or up to 60 days if the ministry asks for more documents.
