The lowest minimum is EUR 250,000, for units in a Hungarian real estate fund. Other routes: donation to a Hungarian university (EUR 1,000,000). Fees come on top.

There is no minimum stay in Hungary to keep the guest investor permit, and it is not checked when you extend it.
Does the Hungary golden visa lead to permanent residence?
After at least 3 years of legal and unbroken residence you can apply for a national residence card, which lets you live in Hungary with no end date. It is only granted if your long-term stay is in Hungary's interest and you have housing, money to live on and health cover.
How long does the Hungary golden visa last?
Up to 10 years. Yes, once, for up to another 10 years. Fund investors must still hold the units, donors need no new investment.
How much does the Hungary golden visa cost?
HUF 26,000 to apply in Hungary through Enter Hungary, or HUF 39,000 in person. The guest investor visa costs EUR 110.
Can I work on the Hungary golden visa?
You may work for an employer, be self-employed or run a company in Hungary, without restrictions.
Who can apply for the Hungary golden visa?
Open to people from outside the EU, the EEA and Switzerland. Non-EU citizens who buy units in a Hungarian real estate fund or give a large donation to a Hungarian university.
Can I bring my family?
Family members can apply for a residence permit for family reunification. It also lets them work.
How do I apply?
In Hungary only, online through Enter Hungary or in person at the regional directorate of the immigration office. If you need a visa, first get a guest investor visa at a Hungarian consulate. If you can enter visa-free, apply within 30 days of your first entry. 21 days, not counting the time you take to prove the investment or fix missing documents.
