How much do I need to invest for the Panama golden visa?
The lowest minimum is USD 300,000, for new property bought from the developer (first sale). Other routes: off-plan property under a promise of sale (USD 300,000), resale property (USD 500,000), securities through a Panama broker (USD 500,000), fixed deposit at a state bank (USD 500,000) and fixed deposit at a private bank (USD 750,000). Fees come on top.

The Ministry of Commerce and Industries says you must visit Panama at least once every 2 years to keep the permanent residence.
Does the Panama golden visa lead to permanent residence?
You get permanent residence straight away, without holding a temporary permit first.
How much does the Panama golden visa cost?
USD 5,000 to the National Treasury for the application, plus a USD 5,000 repatriation deposit to the National Migration Service. Each dependant adds USD 1,000 plus a USD 1,000 deposit.
Who can apply for the Panama golden visa?
Open to citizens of any other country. Foreign nationals who invest at least USD 300,000 of their own money from abroad in Panama through one of the routes below.
Can I bring my family?
A spouse, children and qualifying parents can be included as dependants, each with their own fee.
How do I apply?
Through a Panamanian lawyer: first get an investment certificate from the Ministry of Commerce and Industries, then file at the special window of the National Migration Service. You can apply before you enter Panama. The Ministry has up to 15 working days to issue the investment certificate, and the Migration Service up to 30 working days to decide.
