How long do I need to spend in the UAE?
Golden visa holders can stay outside the UAE for longer than the six months that would cancel an ordinary residence visa. The official pages set no minimum number of days in the country.
Does the UAE golden visa lead to permanent residence?
The official pages do not describe a path to permanent residence. The golden visa itself is a long-term visa that can be renewed.
How long does the UAE golden visa last?
Ten years for the property route in Dubai and Abu Dhabi and for public investments. The UAE government portal still lists 5 years for property. Yes, it can be renewed.
How much does the UAE golden visa cost?
Fees differ by emirate and route. In Dubai, the property route costs AED 9,884.75 in total at the Dubai Land Department, including the medical test, a 10-year Emirates ID and the permit.
Can I work on the UAE golden visa?
The golden visa lets holders live, work or study in the UAE, and no sponsor is needed.
Who can apply for the UAE golden visa?
Open to citizens of any other country. Foreign investors who own property in the UAE or put money into a deposit or a company there, through one of the routes below.
Can I bring my family?
A husband or wife, children and parents can be sponsored on the visa.
How do I apply?
Online through the ICP or, in Dubai, GDRFA golden visa services. Dubai property owners apply at a Dubai Land Department service centre and must be inside the UAE; Abu Dhabi investors apply through the Abu Dhabi Residents Office. 7 to 10 business days for the Dubai property route at the Dubai Land Department.
