How much do I need to invest for the Latvia golden visa?
The lowest minimum is EUR 60,000, for shares in a small Latvian company. Other routes: shares in a large Latvian company (EUR 110,000). Fees come on top.

How long do I need to spend in Latvia?
The official pages do not set a minimum stay to keep the investor permit. For permanent residence you must not be away more than 6 months in a row or 10 months in total over 5 years.
Does the Latvia golden visa lead to permanent residence?
After 5 years of unbroken residence you can apply for EU long-term resident status, which is the only permanent status under the new law. You need Latvian at A2 level, a Latvian culture and history course and enough money to live on.
How long does the Latvia golden visa last?
Up to 2 years. Yes, while the investment and the other conditions still hold. After 5 years in Latvia on the company route, each new permit needs a one-off EUR 2,000 payment.
How much does the Latvia golden visa cost?
EUR 160 to review the application within 30 days, EUR 280 within 10 working days or EUR 560 within 5 working days.
Can I work on the Latvia golden visa?
Investors on the company or fund route get the right to work in Latvia without restrictions.
Who can apply for the Latvia golden visa?
Open to people from outside the EU, the EEA and Switzerland. Non-EU citizens who put money into the share capital of a Latvian company. Citizens of Russia and Belarus cannot apply.
Can I bring my family?
Family members can get a permit for the same length as the investor's permit.
How do I apply?
At a Latvian embassy or consulate outside the Schengen area, at the Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs if you are legally in Latvia, or online from abroad with a secure e-signature. The Office decides within 30 days. It can extend this, but to no more than 4 months from when it has all the documents.
