How much do I need to invest for the Luxembourg golden visa?
The lowest minimum is EUR 500,000, for existing Luxembourg company. Other routes: new Luxembourg company (EUR 500,000), investment and management structure (EUR 3,000,000) and deposit with a Luxembourg financial institution (EUR 20,000,000). Fees come on top.

How long do I need to spend in Luxembourg?
The official pages do not set a minimum stay for the investor permit. If you plan to leave Luxembourg for more than 6 months you must tell the immigration directorate.
Does the Luxembourg golden visa lead to permanent residence?
After 5 years of legal, unbroken residence you can ask for long-term resident status. Absences shorter than 6 months in a row, and no more than 10 months in total, do not break the 5 years.
How long does the Luxembourg golden visa last?
3 years. Yes, for 3 years at a time, after a positive opinion from the minister who first reviewed the investment.
How much does the Luxembourg golden visa cost?
EUR 80 for the residence permit card.
Can I work on the Luxembourg golden visa?
Investors in a company can ask for a business licence to run it, if they have the required skills.
Who can apply for the Luxembourg golden visa?
Open to people from outside the EU, the EEA and Switzerland. Non-EU citizens who invest in a Luxembourg company, a Luxembourg investment structure or a large bank deposit, after the Minister of the Economy or of Finance gives an opinion on the plan.
Can I bring my family?
Once you hold a permit valid for at least one year, you can ask to bring family members under the general family reunification rules, if you have enough income and suitable housing.
How do I apply?
First send the plan or proof of investment to the Minister of the Economy (company routes) or the Minister of Finance (structure and deposit routes). Then apply from abroad for the stay authorisation and type D visa. After you arrive, register with your commune, have a medical check and apply to the Directorate-General for Immigration for the permit.
